Bel-Con's Tree Decorating Challenge for #ChristmasSharing2019
Once again we chose to celebrate the season with Bel-Con's Tree Decorating Challenge! As in past years we challenged some of our clients to join in the FUN of decorating a good, old-fashioned Christmas tree. We gathered up a trailer load of trees from Paul Martin and Denmar Farms then played Santa distributing trees.
This Year's Contestants Were:
- Durabla
- Cascades
- Autosystems Plant 1
- Hamilton-Smith
- Alliance Custom Fabrication
- Autosystems Plant 3
- SafeStart (a Division of Electrolab)
- Triangle Fluid Controls
- QVSS
- Autosystems Plant 2
And of course, we saved one tree for ourselves.
What's at Stake?
As in past years, each of our contestants decorated their tree, competing for a donation that we make on behalf of our "winners" to Christmas Sharing, a local charity helping needy families have a Merry Christmas. Winners also have bragging rights until the following year!
The "prizes" are:
- First place ‘wins’ a donation to Christmas Sharing of $500
- Second place ‘wins’ a donation to Christmas Sharing of $300
- Third place ‘wins’ a donation to Christmas Sharing of $200
As in past years, our impartial Supreme Judge was Bruce Mackay (of Mackay Insurance). Competition was stiff and the judging panel awarded a few ties this year!
Our 2019 Winners Are:
First Place:
SafeStart (A Division of Electrolab)
Second Place – 2 way tie:
Hamilton-Smith
Triangle Fluid Controls
Third Place – 2 way tie:
Cascades
QVSS
As a result of the multiple ties, we will be donating an additional $500 of prize money to the Christmas Sharing program. Thanks once again to all this year's contestants. Not only have they made the industrial park a little brighter, they also helped make a brighter Christmas for some families in our community as well!
