We were contacted by BPE Development to provide a pre-engineered solution for their new industrial development in Kingston northeast Industrial Park. The 108,000 sq. ft facility will house multiple tenants. One of the most important requirements was to minimize the interior columns and this is why Butler Trusspurlins were utilized for the roof structure. This allowed clear bay spacings up to 60’. The building is extremely well insulated as we employed 4” thick Thermawall metal insulated panels providing R32 insulation and the TLS-12 roof system which utilizes Butler’s MR-24 standing seam roof panels with a full metal liner and R40 insulation.
One of the tenants for the facility required a 58’ span - 10 tonne bridge crane, we are often called upon to design a structure to support the crane but thanks to Butler’s partnership with KONE Crane we were also able to provide the client with a complete supply, installation and commissioning package for this crane.
Due to Covid and winter weather we also stepped in to assist the developer with the foundations to help get the project out of the ground.
