Clow Farm Equipment, a Kingston, Ontario John Deere dealership contacted us to construct a new building to house their sales and service centre. The key features expressed in initial discussions of the project were for a building that could combine energy efficiency and a comfortable space for staff throughout the workshop and showroom. Meeting these goals was possible by using a combination of Butler Manufacturing's green building systems:
Another factor to ensure comfort for employees and customers was the use of radiant in-floor heat in perimeter offices, showroom, and throughout the entire shop. Other features included in the new building were: energy-efficient lighting systems, occupancy sensors, and low-flow plumbing fixtures. The team at Clow Farm Equipment have been very pleased with their new facility and it was recently featured in the winter issue of Green Building and Sustainable Strategies magazine.
